"Gator Bite Cafe" (Crystal River)
352-795-1048 Located at 807 S.E. Hwy 19, (behind American Pro Dive) This is the cutest little place with the most wonderful food! We had the lunch special of a Chicken Salad Wrap & it was just wonderful!! I highly recommend this place. They also have the decor in local artist pieces that you can enjoy looking at while waiting on your meal. Rating = 5 |

"Full Belly Deli" (Crystal River)
352-564-0211 Located at 9707 W. Fort Island Trail. I have eaten at the FBD several times, both breakfast and lunch. I tried the Ultimate Belly for breakfast. It is a mixture of veggies, ham, sausage and eggs in a wrap. Wow! I have also tested several subs and everything is wonderful. I rate the food a 5 and if you are hungry, it may be a 10 because it is twice as much as you can eat. They also cater and have take out. Rating = 5 |
| "The Café on the Avenue"
(Crystal River) 352-795-3656 Located at Citrus Ave. in Heritage Village. The restaurant is in the back of the flower shop, in the large gray building. You can eat inside or on their extensive porch. The food is Gourmet - sandwiches, soups, quiches and, especially their homemake desserts almost too big to eat after a wonderful meal. They are open for lunch every day and dinner on the weekends. Rating = 5 |
| "Bangkok
Thai"
(Beverly Hills) 352-746-0443 If you like Thai food, or have not tried it, you must. This was some of the best Thai food I have eaten. The menu variety was splendid and the atmosphere was great. The dress is casual and the menu pricing is very reasonable. Seven of us dined at the Bangkok Thai last weekend and we all were pleased. We give it a (5) out of 5. |
| "Crystal Paradise Restaurant"
(Crystal River)
352-563-2620 Located at 508 N Citrus Ave, Crystal River In the heart of downtown Crystal River on N. Citrus Avenue. While visiting the quaint little shops, stop in for an inexpensive lunch or dinner, with daily specials. We love their famous grouper dinner which includes salad or soup, potato or veggie & of course one of their famous homemade deserts at an affordable price of $5.95. You won't leave there hungry! They also serve breakfast. Open Tuesday thru Sunday. A kind reminder, this restaurant only excepts cash. Rating = 5 |
| "Island Outpost
Cafe"
(Ozello, Crystal River)
352-795-1880 Located at 14231 W Ozello Trail, (Ozello) Crystal River For those of you that aren't familiar with the Island Outpost, other than a convenience store, you need to try eating at the cafe for breakfast! John is probably one of the best cooks I've ever met! He does a breakfast that beats all! We have enjoyed his food for several years now, but my favorite breakfast is his "Island Omelet"! It is not to be beaten anywhere! He also has other various things on his menu. From Homemade Pizza, BBQ plates or try one of his Philly style chicken sandwiches, my favorite for lunch. He will fix anything on his menu "to-go". And for you fishermen, he also does delicious subs to go, so don't bother making your sandwiches, just call ahead your to-go order & it will be waiting on you. Breakfast is only served from 7:00am Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Open every day except Tuesday! So stop by & give John a try! I'm sure you'll give him a 5, like I did! Rating = 5

| "ABC
Pizza"
(Crystal River)
352-795-1046 Located at 2010 SE Hwy 19, Crystal River Just one of the many wonderful items available is their ATKINS, LOW-CARB Pizza. It is wonderful! Occasionally you can even find it on their Buffet! Or, you can order their "Family Meal Deal" which is a large Pizza, 12 wings & a 2 ltr drink of your choice for $13.99. Hey, they have the best wings in town! (Add $1.00 more for the Low-Carb Pizza). What a Deal! They open at 11:00am every day. Rating = 5

| "The
Manor Family Restaurant"
(Homosassa)
352-564-1116 Located at 1239 S. Suncoast Blvd. (Hwy.# 19) Homosassa *In Nottingham Plaza This family style restaurant features good ole country cookin', with home-made desserts. The current owner is the former owner of The Boathouse Restaurant - that was across the highway....but burned down! The restaurant is small...seating approx.40-50 people. Parking is limited , and there may be a line at the door. However , the food , prices , and service are well worth the wait! Both Fri. evening dinners and Sun. morning breakfasts were sampled. The meals and overall service far exceeded our expectations! The atmosphere is casual...all together making the place one of the best-kept secrets of the local diners.......................not any more! Rating = 5

| "The Highlander Café"
(Crystal River) 352-795-1461 Located at 654A N Citrus Ave. If you like "atmosphere", Scottish music, and something a little different, you will like the Highlander Café. They're open Tues thru Sat, 7:30-4:00 and offer a small breakfast menu. Their lunches include: homemade soups and sandwiches served on Ciabatta bread with a large variety of coffees and smoothies. Their specialties are their desserts: including scones, and other delicacies. And, the owners are authentic Scots, speaking with a delightful accent! The place is small, seating about 25 inside, but there is also a lovely courtyard out front. The Highlander is located just across the street from the Poe House - the large white house selling antiques and books. Rating = 5 |
