Next OCA meeting:

We are coming up on a couple of projects being coordinated by the Crystal River Preserve State Park.  The first is Saturday, September 2oth, 8:00am - 12:00 noon.  It is a Shore Clean-Up Project in Ozello!  They will be meeting at the County Boat Ramp at Pirates’ Cove.   The second is a spruce up of the preserve property just before you get to Spangler Loop on the right heading west! This will be done on National Public Lands Day, September 27th. There will be a large Girl Scout Troup to help us. We will make some trails, clear some openings so fishing will be more accessible, provide nicely built trash can holders, put mulch down for the trails and install a gate so that motor vehicles will not drive in. I feel that, since both projects benefit Ozello directly, we should have a great turnout of Ozello residents to help with these projects.  We can’t let the Girl Scouts out do us!  To sign up, go by the Island Outpost and register on the sign-up sheet.  If you can’t make it by there, just call Kim at 352-257-5575.

Our first meeting of the season will be Saturday October 11^th, 9:30am.
